This little guy (the Macan Turbo) is a chubster.
4,500 lbs, or roughly the same weight as:
and more than:

Dang that is heavy. I also think that this is right about 4500lbs. Yes, a full size SuperCrew F150 with an ecoboost (2wd) is about 4500lbs

4500 pounds is around 900 pounds off. A 4WD supercrew weighs 5577 pounds (just read the article last night). And that's only because it has an entirely aluminum body now.

Doesn't surprise me.
It's also supposed to be very good to drive.

Notice I said in my post 2wd.... also i was talking about a lower level model (not a platimum with every option and a 200lb pano moonroof) with 2.7L ecoboost not the heavier 3.5 if you look at the chart below a 145" supercrew 2wd with the 2.7 is 4563lbs

I don't want to spoil it if you're going to watch this …..

.
but apparently its rather boring to drive. Fast and competent no doubt, but very German.

They go all the way up.

I noticed you said 2WD and that's why I said 900 pounds and not 1000+ pounds.
Less displacement does not necessarily mean less weight. A 2.7 liter Ecoboost is only 9 pounds lighter than the 3.5.
While I give props to Ford for making the new F-150's so light , you're still comparing apples to oranges: an aluminum bodied, minimally equipped 2WD truck against a steel bodied, fully loaded 4WD luxury off roader.

It wasn't trying to be harsh on Porsche (I love Porsche) or hold ford in a higher light, I guess I was just thinking out loud about how heavy a lot of modern luxury cars are. It wasn't meant as an attack, just more as interesting food for thought.

Weird, I've never seen a base model 4Runner before, assuming that's what this is.
I'm not sure how that black trim makes me feel.

Yea, IIRC the weight range was from 4,400-4,700lbs so I just tried to find the base-est photo I could.
